Knockfarrel
On Easter Sunday, the resurrection of Jesus was celebrated with an early morning service on top of Knockfarrel. Just as the women went and found the empty tomb early in the morning so approximately 40
people gathered at 7am on Knockfarrel to worship the risen Jesus. It was a beautiful
morning with the rising sun lighting up the Cromarty Firth. The short service was followed by some rolling eggs on the hill then a breakfast of bacon rolls in Contin Village Hall. Has a new tradition been born?
Strathconon
On Sunday 3rd July the Churches of Contin and Strathpeffer will have an away day. The Church service that day will be held in Strathconon Village Hall at 11am followed by a barbecue and time for chat and fun. There will be a bus picking people up from both villages to take them to Strathconon. Booking a seat, via the minister or other office bearer, will be necessary. All welcome to share in this community celebration.
Toilet
The Church has received Planning Consent from Highland Council to build a small toilet unit beside the Church. It will be situated in the field to the left of the gate into the Church. An application for a Building Warrant is now progressing. It is hoped this project will reach fulfilment in the autumn.
